1. Early release Wednesdays start NEXT WEEK, September 14. Tomorrow, September 7 is regular dismissal time.
2. Supplies! Please get your child's supplies in to class ASAP, so we can start using them for journaling, reading, and organizing. Supply lists are available in the office.
3. Yellow homework folders: almost all of them made it home this afternoon! We will get better about it as we get used to the routines of the day. Please look over the communicator with your child each evening, and sign/initial at the bottom. Items to be left at home (should) be found on the left hand side, and items to be completed and returned (forms, homework, etc.) will be found on the right. Most important to me are the following items:
- Media release form (in colorful packet). I hope you OK the use of your child's image on sites such as this one, as I post many pictures of learning throughout the school year!
- Free and reduced lunch application (green packet). Even if you don't plan on using the hot lunch program, if there is any chance your family qualifies, we would greatly appreciate your taking the time to fill out the application, as we get funding based on the number of children qualifying for free/reduced lunches.
- Tell me about your second grader. I'd love to get your perspective and input right off the bat!
- Welcome packet (white packet). Please read through the welcome letter from me, and sign and return the last half sheet.
