October Bonus! Electric Circuits

Of course we had lots of picture-worthy work the day after a post without any pictures at all.

Fourth graders are learning about circuits, circuitry, and how energy flows.  It's been an exciting hands-on challenge, and a great way to persevere through frustration and failure.

The Jog-a-Thon went well, too.  I was too busy cheering and marking laps (there were a LOT of laps for our class!) and running to take many pictures.  Hopefully the school got some good ones.

Jog-a-Thon envelopes and money are due THIS Friday, October 27 to be eligible for prizes (we will gladly still take your money after the 27th, though).

Please come to Firwood's first Family Reading Night THIS Thursday night from 6:00 to 7:00 in the Library.  You can come dressed up, you get free books, there will be read-alouds, and I'll be leading an autumnal craft.

Students brought home their Oregon Native Americans diorama project assignment.  They are encouraged to do research outside of school to make their dioramas amazing.  Students will be able to do SOME research during small, quiet groups time, but will likely need to do more at home.  Please email me with any questions or concerns.

Re: pictures:  if at any point, you would like me to STOP cropping your child out of pictures or covering their wonderful faces because you opted OUT of the photo release, contact me or the office and I'll send home a new one for you to sign.
